Suspect Named in Killing of Teen in Aiken County

NEW ELLENTON, S.C. (AP) _ Aiken County deputies say they have a suspect in the killing of a teen whose body was found buried in a shallow grave over the weekend. Deputies got a murder warrant Tuesday for 24-year-old Christopher Parker. Authorities say 18-year-old Huran Dix was shot over a stolen income check. Authorities Dix’s body Saturday night after a witness found his hat in woods near New Ellenton. Deputies followed a trail of blood from the hat to the shallow grave where Dix’s body was found. Investigators say Parker has a criminal history that includes charges of kidnapping and unlawful possession of a weapon.
