Maid finds woman’s body in Charleston motel room

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — A maid making her rounds at a Charleston motel has found a woman’s body inside a room she was entering to clean.

Authorities say workers at the Evergreen Motel called 911 after finding the body of a woman around 10:40 a.m. Wednesday.

Investigators are trying to determine who the woman is and how she died.

Authorities are calling the death suspicious until they get more information.
