SC deputies say woman shoots husband attacking son
INMAN, S.C. (AP) — Spartanburg County sheriff’s deputies say a woman shot and wounded her husband as he was attacking their son.
Deputies have charged 43-year-old Robert Tracy Fowler of Inman with second-degree assault and battery and criminal domestic violence.
Deputies say they were called to Fowler’s home Tuesday night.
Deputies say the woman told them Fowler and their teen son had gotten into an argument and Fowler began beating him.
The woman says she tried to break up the fight and Fowler shoved her. When he resumed attacking the teen, she shot Fowler in the buttocks.
The woman will not be charged.
It was not clear if Fowler has a lawyer.
The teen was still being treated at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
