Lockdown at Benedict College lifted

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Officials with Benedict College say a lockdown there has been lifted.
Benedict spokeswoman Kymm Hunter says the lockdown was lifted after police received information that the suspect isn’t in the vicinity of the school.
The college was on lockdown for most of Saturday after the school received a threatening phone call from a young man threatening a massacre. He isn’t a Benedict student, and authorities believe who was upset over a relationship with another person who’s also not a Benedict student.
But that person is believed to be in a relationship with a Benedict student.
