Spartanburg sheriff releases new shooting sketch
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright has released a new sketch of a person of interest in the 2003 shooting deaths of four people at a motorcycle shop.
Wright said Thursday the new sketch was prepared after the witness who provided information for the sketch prepared shortly after the crime told investigators he didn’t think the first drawing was accurate.
The witness had seen the man in the shop shortly before the shootings.
Scott Ponder, Beverly Guy, Brian Lucas and Chris Sherbert were shot and killed at the Superbike Motorsports shop on Nov. 6, 2003.
The person is a white man between the ages of 25 and 40 about 6 feet tall and weighing between 175 and 200 pounds. He had dark brown hair.
A $25,000 reward is still being offered.
