Columbia police raising money to fight cancer

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Police officers from Columbia are helping raise money to fight cancer.

Chief Randy Scott says officers are at Buffalo Wild Wings and Bar on Wednesday during the lunch and dinner hours. They’re collecting donations for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, which is scheduled for April 20.

People can tell their servers that they want proceeds from their bills to go toward the fundraiser, or they can give donations in the form of cash or a check.
