Lawmakers, staff, others evacuated to State House basement

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)–Everyone in the state house was evacuated into the basement this evening while there was a tornado warning in downtown Columbia.
Greenville representative Bobby Cox tweeted this photo of his colleagues hunkered down in the basement saying quote, “I’ve never seen this part of the state capitol before, stay safe!”
