Cato Institute fellow speaking at The Citadel

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — A senior fellow from the Cato Institute is talking about economics at The Citadel.

Daniel Mitchell speaks Wednesday to a class of cadets at the state military college in Charleston. Mitchell is an expert on tax reform and an advocate of the flat tax and international tax competition.

He previously was an economist for the U.S. Senate Finance Committee and served in 1988 on the George Bush-Dan Quayle presidential transition team.

The Cato Institute is a Washington-based think tank that supports limited government and free markets.
