USC’s Smoak Hits 1st Homer Of Season

USC all-time home run leader Justin Smoak hit his first major league home run in the second game of the season. It was Seattle’s only run of the game in 4-1 loss to Oakland in Tokyo, Japan. Smoak’s homer is his only hit in his first nine at-bats of the season. Seattle split the opening series with the A’s in Japan. The Mariners don’t play again until April 6th at Oakland.
