3 killed on Friday night in Anderson

ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say three people were killed in Anderson County in less than 12 hours..

Deputies say 76-year-old Claud Schaffer Scott was beaten inside his home on Friday evening. Authorities say 47-year-old John Kennedy turned himself in on Sunday and has been charged with murder.

Investigators say 22-year-old Kendrick Dowell was gunned down while visiting an apartment complex Friday night. Several hours later, 21-year-old Antonio Adger died at a hospital shortly after he was shot at a nightclub.

No arrests have been made in the two shootings. Authorities said Kennedy was expected in court on Monday, and it wasn’t clear if he had an attorney.
