SC man released on charges after body in concrete
MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (AP) — A Summerville man has been released from jail after being accused of dumping his 2-year-old son’s body in a trash can and filling it with concrete nearly two years ago.
Roger Anthony Williams posted $250,000 bond and has been released from jail in Moncks Corner.
He is charged with homicide by child abuse and obstruction of justice.
No trial date has been set.
Authorities found the body of 2-year-old Rodricus Williams in a trash can in Orangeburg County in 2010.
Roger Williams’ girlfriend, Grace Trotman, pleaded guilty in February to homicide by child abuse and desecration of human remains and is awaiting sentencing.
In an affidavit, Williams has said the boy had an ongoing health problem and that neither he nor his girlfriend sought medical help for the youngster.
