Teen worker killed at North Augusta truck yard

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (AP) — A 19-year-old worker has died after he was trapped between two trailers at a North Augusta trucking company.

Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton told The Aiken Standard (http://bit.ly/HItrwy ) that Cole Kugler died at the scene of the accident around 8:15 p.m. Thursday at Southeastern Freight.

Investigators say one of Kugler’s co-workers was backing up one trailer to hook to another and said he saw nothing behind him.

Authorities say the man pulled away, got out of his truck, and found Kugler’s body.

Sheriff’s deputies say no charges will be filed.
