82-Year-Old Greer Woman Killed by Pickup Truck

GREER, S.C. (AP) _ Troopers say an 82-year-old woman has been killed after she was struck by a pickup backing out of a Greer driveway. Authorities said Shirley Garrett died at the hospital a short time after she was struck around 4 p.m. Wednesday. Investigators say an 85-year-old man was driving the 1992 Chevrolet pickup that hit Garrett. Troopers are still investigating the wreck, and no charges have been filed.
