HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (AP) — The Beaufort County grand jury has indicted a Sumter man on a murder charge for a crash involving a stolen fire truck earlier this year.

The Island Packet of Hilton Head reported (http://bit.ly/K0fMo9 ) 26-year-old Kalvin Hunt was indicted last week on murder, grand larceny and nine other charges.

Prosecutors say the nude Marine ran from the Navy hospital in Beaufort and took a Port Royal fire truck while firefighters were on a medical call.

They say Hunt rammed several vehicles and killed 28-year-old Justin Miller of Port Royal and he and his brother were walking along a road.

Hunt is appealing his bad-conduct discharge from the Marine Corps.

He had been charged by military police with trespassing and larceny at the Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort on Dec. 8.
