Missing Girl Found Safe

SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO) — The six-year-old Cherryvale Elementary School student reported missing earlier in the day has been located and is safe. Emily Ginther began walking home from school Monday afternoon when she became lost. Seeing this, Steven Watts, a nine-year-old fellow classmate, approached the girl and asked her if he could help in any way. After walking around the Cherryvale area for some time with the six-year-old, unsuccessfully locating the younger child‘s home, Watts then led her back to his own home. From there, Watts‘ family contacted law enforcement, and deputies arrived at the home moments later.
