Guard prospect Woods says he will attend North Carolina

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — One of the top guards in next year’s signing class, Seventh Woods, has decided to attend North Carolina to play college basketball.
The 6-foot-1 senior at the Hammond School is rated the 55th best college prospect in the class of 2016 by ESPN.
Woods signed his letter of intent at his school gym on Wednesday with students and family around on the first day of college basketball’s early signing period.
Woods had cut his college choices down to the Tar Heels, South Carolina and Georgetown. He averaged 16.3 points and 3.7 assists per game last season.
