Teens arrested for Sumter car break-ins

SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO) — Sumter Police have arrested three teenagers in connection with a string of car break-ins in the Alice Drive area. Police say 17-year-old Tyshawn Bell, along with a 14-year-old and 16-year-old, face charges including carrying of a pistol, underage possession of a pistol and breaking and entering. Bell was booked into the Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center. Police say the firearm was taken from someone’s car. This investigation is ongoing.
