Motorcyclist Dies Following Wednesday Accident

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Columbia police say the motorcycle rider who was involved in an accident at the intersection of Gervais St. and Assembly St. Wednesday morning has died. 56-year-old David Hensley died from complications of trauma associated with the collision. Police say the motorcycle was traveling westbound on Gervais Street near the intersection at Assembly Street. The car was traveling east on Gervais Street attempting to make a left turn onto Assembly Street when the two vehicles collided. The car driver was given a citation for Failure to Yield Right of Way.
