Drive-thru child seat check Monday morning

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO) — The Lexington Police Department is continuing to promote child passenger seat safety with a drive-thru child seat check that is scheduled for Monday, November 30. Child Passenger Seat Technicians will be available from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the front of the Town of Lexington Municipal Building, located at 111 Maiden Lane in Lexington. Chick-fil-A of Lexington will be providing chicken biscuits and coffee to those who come and have their child‘s car seat Officers, who are also certified CPS Technicians, will be checking to make sure car seats are installed correctly and instruct parents on the best passenger seat types for their child‘s age and weight range.one space  CPS Technicians will also make sure a car seat has not been recalled or in need of replacement.
