Richland Two has updated their security procedures for athletic events after a fight broke out at a Spring Valley High School football game last week.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— Richland Two has updated their security procedures for athletic events after a fight broke out at a Spring Valley High School football game last week.

In a press release by Richland Two, officials say high school students who attend athletic competitions without a parent or guardian present will be required to show their Richland Two student ID before entering through a student gate.

Students who are attending as part of the visiting team’s school will be required to show their school ID and have a ticket in order to be able to attend the event without a parent or guardian.

The new rules will also prohibit spectators from standing or congregating near the concession stands or on the concourse during the game. Concession stands will close at the end of the third quarter; entry gates will close at the end of halftime, and no one will be admitted to the game after that time.

Any person under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult. Face coverings that completely cover a person’s face are also not allowed.

Spectators will be expected to stay in their seats throughout the duration of the game except for going to restrooms or to concession stands.
