SC Agriculture Department hosting veggie field day

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — State agriculture officials are offering information about the state’s fruit and vegetable production.

The South Carolina Department of Agriculture is holding Vegetable Production Field Day on Thursday at the Coastal Research and Education Center in Charleston.

There are presentations on a variety of topics including studies on melons and tomatoes, as well as the effects of hormones on bell pepper quality. There is also a fruit tree demonstration.
