Noah Hall went 6.1 innings, allowing nine hits and five earned runs with five strikeouts. The loss went to Matthew Becker, who allowed a pair of runs in an inning of work.
John Gilreath had an outstanding performance on the mound in relief, pitching five innings and allowing just two hits with five strikeouts, but the one mistake was in the seventh as Bobby Peirce hit a solo home run to left.

The night belonged to Hall as he earned the win for the Gamecocks. He pitched a season high 7.2 innings and threw 96 pitches. Matthew Becker earned his third save of the season, striking out three in 1.1 innings.
