USC to honor A’ja Wilson, Lindsey Spann on Senior Night Thursday

South Carolina women’s basketball will celebrate seniors Lindsey Spann and A’ja Wilson prior to Thursday’s 6:30 p.m. tipoff against LSU at Colonial Life Arena. Fans will have an opportunity to share their appreciation with this year’s senior class as well as collect souvenir items prior to the on-court ceremony, which is scheduled to begin at 6:10 p.m.

No. 24 Gamecock softball downs UNC, 5-0

No. 24 South Carolina softball extended its season-high winning streak to seven games with a 5-0 win over North Carolina on Tuesday night at Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field. Dixie Raley, in just her second start at Carolina, moved to 3-0 on the season with the victory in four innings of work. 

Clemson golf wins Puerto Rico Classic

Doc Redman made birdie on each of his last two holes,  and Turk Pettit finished second overall, leading Clemson to a one-shot victory at the Puerto Rico Classic at Rio Mar Country Club on Tuesday.   It was the 75th career win and 10th in the last three years for Hall of Fame Coach Larry Penley.

Buccaneers hire former Clemson linebacker

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may soon be adding pieces to their defensive line in pursuit of a more productive pass rush in 2018. First though, they have found the man who will mold that group into a strong unit, agreeing to terms with former Arizona Cardinals assistant Brentson Buckner to be their new defensive line coach.
