In a part of the country where football, basketball and baseball reign supreme, the sport of volleyball, specifically grass volleyball, is making it’s presence known.
South Carolina announced it is parting ways with head baseball coach Paul Mainieri. The Gamecock manager went 40-40 overall and 6-28 in SEC games during his 80 game tenure.
C.A. Johnson took down Bethune-Bowman 70-64 on Saturday at Colonial Life Arena to claim the 1A State title. This is the Hornet’s third state championship in program history, the prior two coming in 1989 and 2014.

The South Carolina club ice hockey team took home it’s first ever SEC title this pas weekend, beating Tennessee 4-3 in the championship game.
