Noah Chast
Weekend Sports Anchor/ Reporter
Noah Chast is an award winning sports anchor and reporter, serving as ABC Columbia’s Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter. He is beyond grateful to cover the South Carolina Gamecocks, Clemson Tigers, Carolina Panthers, The Masters and other sports in the Midlands and across the Carolinas.
Noah joins us from KTVZ-TV in Bend, Oregon, where he covered the Oregon Ducks, Oregon State Beavers, Portland Trailblazers and Portland Thorns/Timbers. In addition to his college and professional sports coverage, Noah was instrumental in highlighting local sports, ranging from high school football to Olympic level skiing and rock climbing.
Noah is a 2020 graduate from Penn State, where he majored in Broadcast Journalism, with a John Curley Center for Sports Journalism certificate and Sociology minor. Noah was actively involved with the school’s student news and sports clubs, athletic department media, and student fundraising group THON.
Noah grew up in the Philadelphia area and is a diehard Philadelphia sports fan. He is a true four for four fan, and will not hesitate to share his love, frustrations and opinions of the Eagles, Sixers, Phillies and Flyers. He is a former intern for 6 ABC, loves going down the shore and is always hunting for the best cheesesteak in town.
When Noah is not working, you can most likely find him playing, coaching or calling volleyball, be it indoor, on the grass or at the beach.
