21 Year Old Clemson Student Drowns
CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) _ The Pickens County coroner says a 21-year-old Clemson student who was swimming with friends has drowned.
Coroner Kandy Kelley said that Prashanth Elangovan (praz-HAWNTH ee-LAWN-go-vawn) was swimming at Twelve Mile Recreation Area in Clemson at about 6:30 p.m. Monday when he went under and didn’t resurface.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) _ The South Carolina Republican Party says GOP presidential candidates will debate at Wofford College.
Party Chairman Chad Connelly announced Wednesday that the debate in Spartanburg on Nov. 12 will focus on national security and foreign policy and start at 8 p.m.
