Watson Makes Cut For Walter Camp Award

Clemson sophomore quarterback Deshaun Watson has been named one of 15 semifinalists for the Walter Camp National Player of the Year Award. Watson and Florida State running back Dalvin Cook are the only ACC players on the list, while Watson, Cook, Luke Falk of Washington State, Leonard Fournette of LSU and Christian McCaffrey of Stanford are the only sophomores.

USC Tips Off Paradise Jam Against DePaul

South Carolina begins action at the 2015 U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam on Friday, facing DePaul from The Big East Conference. The meeting is the seventh all-time between the two schools, and the first since the 1999-2000 season. South Carolina will be playing in the Paradise Jam for the first time this weekend.

Lawson Named Finalist For Nagurski Award

Defensive end Shaq Lawson has been named a finalist for another major national award, the Bronko Nagurski Trophy. The Clemson junior was one of five finalists announced Thursday morning by the Charlotte Touchdown Club, who presents the award annually to the nation’s top defensive player. The other finalists are Jeremy Cash of Duke, Tyler Matakevich of Temple, Carl Nassib of Penn State, and Reggie Ragland of Alabama.
