Lexington To Host USC Baseball Scrimmage

Officials from the Lexington County Recreation & Aging Commission, in cooperation with Shanahan & Company Sports Management along with USC Gamecocks Head Baseball Coach Chad Holbrook announced today that the University of South Carolina Gamecocks Fall World Series Garnet and Black game 4 will be played at the Lexington County Baseball Stadium. This exciting event will take place Thursday November 5th at 7:05pm. Gates will open at 5:30pm. All tickets are $5.00. Proceeds will benefit the Salvation of the Army of the Midlands to assist in their flood relief efforts.

Two Tigers Ranked In World Top 30

Clemson freshmen Alice Hewson and Lauren Stephenson are both in the top 30 of this week’s Women’s World Amateur Golf Rankings. The system is based on each player’s average performance in counting events over a rolling cycle for the previous 52 weeks. The system is similar to that used in the professional ranks.

Single-Game Tickets On Sale For USC Hoops

Select South Carolina men’s and women’s basketball single-game tickets go on sale to the general public on Mon., Nov. 2, at 10 a.m. For the women’s games, general admission tickets for all games except vs. UConn will go on sale for $8 for adult and $4 for youth (17 and under). For the men’s games, all single-game tickets for non-conference games will go on sale for $20 in the lower level and $14 in the upper level. There are also mini-plans available for men’s games.

USC Soccer Seniors Star In Last Home Game

First-half goals by South Carolina seniors Emily Bollinger and Carly Ray pushed the No. 17 Gamecocks past Tennessee 4-0, on Senior Night Thursday evening at Stone Stadium. With the victory, South Carolina concludes the regular season at 12-4-2 and finished Southeastern Conference play with a mark of 6-3-2. The Volunteers drop to 7-5-6 and 3-5-3 in league action.
