The South Carolina women’s basketball team will hold an open practice at Goose Creek High School on Sat., Oct. 24, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Admission is free, but fans are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation to benefit the Low Country Food Bank.

The No. 10 South Carolina women’s soccer team suffered its first SEC loss of the season, falling 2-0 at Ole Miss on Sunday night. The Gamecocks are now 11-2-1 on the year and 5-1-1 in the league. The Rebels improve to 10-3-2 overall and 4-3-0 in the SEC with the win.
The Gamecock volleyball team played one of its best matches of the season Sunday afternoon, but were unable to hold off Texas A&M and dropped a 3-2 decision (27-29, 25-23, 22-25, 25-12, 15-4). Dessaa Legros led Carolina (7-12, 0-6 SEC) with 20 kills, while the Aggies (10-6, 3-2 SEC) had 23 kills from Jazzmin Babers.
An unassisted goal by Shannon Horgan in the 84th minute was enough to lift CLEMSON (10-2-1, 4-2-0 ACC) over VIRGINIA TECH (12-2-1, 4-2-0 ACC) by a final score of 3-2.
Lauren Stephenson captured co-medalist honors to lead Clemson to a second-place team finish at the Yale Women’s Intercollegiate at the Course at Yale in New Haven, Conn. on Sunday. It tied for Clemson’s best team finish in the three year history of the program, and was third straight top five finish for J.T. Horton’s team in 2015.
Freshman Gaby Amos carded her first collegiate round under par (71, 1-under) on Sunday for the South Carolina women’s golf team, which earned an 11th-place finish (40-over) at the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational. The Gamecocks posted a 7-over (295) in the final round of three-day tournament.
