Clemson Football Earns APR Kudos Again

The Clemson football program was honored Wednesday when the NCAA released its Academic Performance Public Recognition Awards. Dabo Swinney’s Tigers rank among the top 10 percent of all FBS programs nationally in APR score (Academic Progress Rate), the fifth-consecutive year the program has had a top 10 percent ranking. Clemson’s women’s golf and diving programs joined football this year among the top 10 percent of their sports.

Smart Decision: Mack Picks Texas

In a ceremony at Dreher High School Tuesday afternoon, two-time South Carolina class 3A player of the year Tevin Mack signed with the University of Texas. Mack, who originally signed with VCU, follows coach Shaka Smart to Austin.

Martin Makes All-SEC First Team

South Carolina senior first baseman Kyle Martin earned first-team All-SEC honors with junior second baseman Max Schrock picking up second-team All-SEC accolades as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
