Duggar On Golden Spikes Watch List

Junior outfielder Steven Duggar (Moore, S.C.) was one of 50 players named to the preseason watch list for the 2015 Golden Spikes Award on Tuesday. Sponsored by Major League Baseball, 2015 marks the 38th year of the USA Baseball Golden Spikes Award, given to the top amateur baseball player in the country.

UConn Ends USC’s Perfect Season, 87-62

No. 1/1 South Carolina grabbed an early lead, but No. 2/2 Connecticut took advantage of a cold shooting stretch midway through the first half to take command of the contest and go on to notch the 87-62 win. Junior Tiffany Mitchell and senior Aleighsa Welch led the Gamecocks (22-1) with 17 points each. Welch also pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds to post her 20th career double-double to move into the program’s all-time top-10 in the category.

USC Welcomes Struggling Mizzou

South Carolina hosts Missouri on Tuesday in only the fourth meeting all-time between the two schools, and the second at Colonial Life Arena. Both teams look to snap losing streaks, as Carolina has lost its last two – both on the road – and the Tigers have lost nine straight. Tuesday’s game will be broadcast on the SEC Network with Dari Nowkhah (pxp) and Joe Dean Jr. (analyst) on the call.

Notre Dame Comes To Littlejohn

Clemson basketball returns home after a two-day turnaround following Sunday’s game at Miami to face a No. 10 Notre Dame team.
Tuesday’s 7 p.m. game on ESPN2 is the first time Clemson has hosted the Fighting Irish in Littlejohn Coliseum. Notre Dame won the first ever meeting between the two in South Bend last season.

Clemson Baseball TV/Radio Schedule

Clemson announced Monday that five regular-season baseball games will be televised and 42 more will be available exclusively via live online video on TigerCast or ESPN3 in 2015. Therefore, 47 Clemson regular-season baseball games will be on some form of live video in 2015.
