Freshman utility player Alex Destino earned third-team Preseason All-America honors from Baseball America as announced on Monday morning.
Roper Co-ACC Player Of The Week
Junior guard Jordan Roper was named ACC Co-Player of the Week on Monday, along with Louisville guard Terry Rozier. Duke freshman Jahlil Okafor took home ACC Rookie of the Week honors. Roper is Clemson’s first ACC Player of the Week selection since Jerai Grant won the honor in 2011.
Wilson Earns 4th SEC Weekly Freshman Honor
South Carolina’s A’ja Wilson was named SEC Freshman of the Week for the fourth time this season, the league office announced today. Her team-best 15.3 points per game helped the Gamecocks to three wins last week, including an 18-point decision over then-No. 12/10 Texas A&M at Colonial Life Arena.
