Clemson Crushes Oklahoma 40-6
Cole Stoudt threw for three touchdowns and ran for another, and 17th-ranked Clemson routed Oklahoma 40-6 in the Russell Athletic Bowl on Monday.
The Tigers (10-3) reached double-digit victories for the fourth consecutive season. Clemson was 10-4 in 2011, 11-2 in 2012 and 11-2 in 2013.
Stoudt was 26 for 36 for a season-high 319 yards. He was sacked four times, but Clemson never turned the ball over. Meanwhile, the Tigers, who came in ranked No. 1 in the nation in total defense, held the Sooners’ offense to just 275 yards.
S Carolina tops Miami 24-21 in Independence Bowl
SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — Dylan Thompson threw for 294 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another score in South Carolina’s 24-21 victory over Miami on Saturday in the Duck Commander Independence Bowl.
