Young Tigers Step In On Graduation Day

The Tigers held their final on-campus, full-pads practice Thursday afternoon. Clemson is preparing for the Russell Athletic Bowl against No. 24 Oklahoma on December 29. The Tigers have their final practice, in shoulder pads and helmets, Friday afternoon. It will be similar to a Thursday, game-week practice.

Benedict Lures White From Albany St.

Benedict College has named James “Mike” White as its new head football coach, Director of Athletics Willie Washington announced today.

White comes to Benedict after serving as the head coach at Albany State University for the past 15 years, winning six SIAC championships and advancing to the NCAA Division II playoffs seven times. His record at ASU was 112-51, a 68.7 winning percentage.

USC Women Hammer Hampton 69-49

No. 1/1 South Carolina used a 19-5 run in the first half to pull away en route to a 69-49 win at Hampton Wednesday night. Junior Tiffany Mitchell matched her career high with six 3-pointers to finish with 20 points, while Alaina Coates posted her fourth-straight double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. With the win, the Gamecocks matched their best start under head coach Dawn Staley with their third-straight 10-0 start to the season.
