Beasley Earns AFCA 1st Team All-American Honors

Clemson defensive end Vic Beasley was named a first-team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association on Wednesday. This is the third of the five major All-America teams to be released and Beasley has been a first-team selection by all three so far. Earlier Beasley was a first-team selection by the Walter Camp Foundation and the Associated Press.

Carolina Football Loses 6th Commitment

Tuesday night Carolina football reportedly lost its 6th commitment from a recruiting class once ranked as high as #2 in the country.

Highly-touted Cornelius, NC defensive back Mark Fields Jr. told Kornblut the uncertainty around Steve Spurrier and his coaching staff’s future caused him to back out of his verbal commitment to the Gamecocks.
