Clemson Snaps Streak, Beats Carolina 35-17
For the first time in six years, Clemson has bragging rights in the state of South Carolina. Deshaun Watson returned from an injured knee and sparked a big day by Tiger freshmen to help Clemson beat Carolina 35-17.
The Tigers finish the regular season with a 9-3 record. The Gamecocks were 6-6.
Watson threw for 269 yards. Wayne Gallman ran for 191 yards, and Artavis Scott had 185 yards receiving. That’s the first time in school history Clemson had a quarterback throw for more than 250 yards while a running back and receiver had more than 180 yards in the same game. Watson, Scott and Gallman are all freshmen.

FREEPORT, Bahamas (AP) — Tiffany Mitchell scored 21 points and A’ja Wilson added 11 of her 15 in the second half as No. 1 South Carolina rallied to beat No. 22 Syracuse 67-63 in the Junkanoo Jam on Friday night.
