Watkins NFL Rookie Of The Month

Former Clemson receiver Sammy Watkins has been named NFL Rookie of the Month for October. The NFL made the announcement on Friday.

Watkins, the first member of the Buffalo Bills to earn NFL Rookie of the Month honors, led all rookies in receptions with 19 and reception yards with 366 in October. He tied for the lead in reception touchdowns among rookies with his former Clemson teammate Martavis Bryant of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Swinney 1 of 13 Coaches Up For Dodd Award

Clemson head football coach Dabo Swinney is one of 13 coaches included on the watch list for the 2014 Dodd Trophy, as announced by officials from the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Foundation and Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on Friday.

Pinion Makes Ray Guy Award Watch List

Clemson punter Bradley Pinion has been named to the list of 2014 Ray Guy Award nominees. The announcement was made Friday by the Augusta Sports Council, which sponsors the award that is presented to the top punter in college football.

USC Baseball Wraps Up Fall Practice

South Carolina will conclude the fall season with the Garnet & Black World Series at Carolina Stadium. Friday’s game is at 4 p.m. Due to anticipated bad weather on Saturday, there will be no scrimmage. Sunday’s scrimmage is still set for 1:30 p.m. A Monday scrimmage time is to be determined. All three games are open to the public.

USC Women #5 Seed In SEC Tourney
