In the first-ever meeting between South Carolina and Benedict College, the Gamecocks came away with a decisive 92-47 win in the exhibition contest at Colonial Life Arena. Senior point guard Tyrone Johnson led all scorers with 23 points and added six rebounds and six assists.

Georgia Still Waiting On Gurley Decision

Heading into one of its biggest rivalries, No. 9 Georgia is still awaiting word on the status of star running back Todd Gurley.

Gurley was suspended the last two games while the school investigated whether he received improper benefits for signing autographs. The Bulldogs applied to the NCAA for his reinstatement last week, but the governing body has yet to issue a ruling.

Seahawks Squeak By Panthers 13-9

Russell Wilson connected on a 23-yard touchdown pass to Luke Willson with 47 seconds left to cap a nine-play, 80-yard drive, lifting Seattle to a 13-9 win over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

It’s the third straight year Wilson has brought the Seahawks (4-3) back from a second-half deficit to beat the Panthers on this same field. In the previous two seasons, Wilson threw TD passes to Jermaine Kearse and Golden Tate to win tight defensive games.
