PC Upsets Charleston Southern 7-3

The Presbyterian College football team picked up its second win over a ranked opponent this season and used one of the best defensive efforts in its Division I history to do it, taking down No. 22/23 Charleston Southern on the road Saturday, 7-3.

Lenoir-Rhyne Wins At Newberry

The Newberry Wolves had perfect weather and a packed house for the annual Homecoming game, but the visiting No. 5/7 Lenoir-Rhyne Bears kept the clamps on the Wolves’ offense and escaped with a 23-10 win.

L-R keeps the Bishops Trophy for the fourth straight year. Newberry is now 2-5 overall and 1-4 in the South Atlantic Conference, while the Bears are 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the league.

Benedict Beats Clark Atlanta 20-10

The Benedict College Tigers scored three first-half touchdowns and snapped a three-game losing streak with a 20-10 victory over Clark Atlanta University on Saturday at Panther Stadium in an SIAC East Division showdown.
