Gamecocks, Tigers Tumble In New Polls

After 24-point losses in their season openers, both Carolina and Clemson tumbled in the polls after week one of the college football season. The Gamecocks dropped from #9 to #21 in both polls. Clemson fell from #16 to #23 in the AP poll, #16 to #24 in the coaches poll.

No. 16 Clemson seeking to regain offensive spark

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Clemson offensive coordinator Chad Morris laid things out as clearly as he could for the Tigers after their scoreless second half in a 45-21 loss at No. 12 Georgia this weekend: If you’re part of the Tigers’ problem, you’re “going to get gone.”

Louisville Rolls To Win In ACC Debut

Dominique Brown’s 15-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and Gerald Christian’s 10-yard TD catch late in the fourth backed Louisville’s big defensive performance that helped beat Miami 31-13 Monday night.

The victory provided a successful Atlantic Coast Conference debut for the Cardinals and to Bobby Petrino’s second coaching stint at the school.
