Garnet & Black Game Set For Saturday

The University of South Carolina football team will wrap up its spring drills on Saturday, April 12, with the annual Garnet & Black Spring Game. Admission is free for the noon contest at Williams-Brice Stadium. The game will be broadcast on ESPNU with Joe Davis providing the play-by-play, Matt Stinchcomb handling the color commentary and Maria Taylor working the sidelines.

This Week USC at Furman, Hosts Florida

South Carolina went 2-2 last week with a 2-1 win vs. Appalachian State and a one win in three games at Arkansas. The Gamecocks are 26-5 and 7-5 in the SEC. South Carolina is tied for first place in the SEC Eastern Division and tied for second overall, just one game back of Alabama.

USC Drops Series To Arkansas

A five-run second inning and eight scoreless innings from right-hander Chris Oliver lifted Arkansas to a 7-0 victory over top ranked South Carolina in the rubber game of a three-game SEC baseball series.

Tiffany Mitchell Named WBCA All-America

South Carolina sophomore guard Tiffany Mitchell added another All-America award to her collection today as the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced her as part of its 10-member team at a ceremony today at Bridgestone Arena during the NCAA Women’s Final Four Super Saturday festivities.
