All SEC Schools Get Early SEC Network Games

The SEC Network, the new national sports network launching August 14 and operated by ESPN, will air a game featuring every football team in the Southeastern Conference within the first four weeks of the 2014 college football season. The first 16 games, released today by the SEC and ESPN, include a home game from all 14 SEC football stadiums. In addition, eight SEC schools will open their 2014 seasons on the network, including the defending SEC Champion, Auburn, and Arkansas in a conference matchup at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, Aug. 30.

Former Irmo QB Olson Transfers To Clemson

Former Irmo High School quarterback David Olson is coming back to South Carolina to play for his favorite team. The Stanford graduate is transferring to Clemson and will be immediately eligible to play his senior season. Olson did not attempt a single pass in his career as a back-up quarterback with the Cardinal.

44 Years After Start, Brown Back At Spring Valley

Wednesday Spring Valley High School officially introduced Dr. Jerry Brown as its new head football coach. The 63-year-old Brown started his coaching career as a 19-year-old assistant junior varsity coach when Spring Valley opened in 1970.
