KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The NCAA’s drive to boost attendance for its women’s tournament has the unintended consequence of potentially forcing three No. 1 seeds to go on the road and beat lower-seeded teams on their home floor.
The South Carolina Gamecock football team returns to the Bluff Road practice fields Tuesday afternoon at 4:15 p.m. This is the second of the allotted 15 spring practices.
Tuesday’s South Carolina-The Citadel baseball game has been postponed due to inclement weather. It has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 16 at 7 p.m. at Joseph P. Riley Jr. Park.

The South Carolina football program will hold its annual Pro Timing Day at Williams-Brice Stadium on Wednesday, April 2, when draft-eligible Gamecock players are scheduled to work out for NFL coaches and scouts.
The Tigers travel to Statesboro, Ga. for the first time since 1995 to take on high-powered Georgia Southern in a two-game, midweek series. Game one is on Tuesday at 6 p.m., game two is on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
