Weather Forces USC Opening Day Delay

Friday’s South Carolina-Bucknell baseball game has been postponed due to weather and a change in travel plans for the Bison. It has been rescheduled as part of a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at Noon at Carolina Stadium. The second game of the doubleheader is tentatively scheduled for 4 p.m. The stadium will be cleared at the conclusion of the first game.

Basketball Against Vanderbilt Postponed

After consulting with the Southeastern Conference it has been determined that the men’s basketball game between the University of South Carolina and Vanderbilt University, scheduled for tonight has been postponed until Thursday due to wintery weather across the state of South Carolina. The safety of the participating teams, staff and fans was considered in postponing the game.

McDaniels, Clemson Fall In 2OT At Notre Dame

Despite 30 points, 14 rebounds and five blocked shots from K.J. McDaniels, Clemson fell to Notre Dame in double overtime on Tuesday, 68-64 at Purcell Pavilion. McDaniels rallied his teammates from a seven-point deficit in the final minutes of regulation, and from a four-point deficit in the final minute of the first overtime period. But in the end, Notre Dame improved to 13-12, 4-8 in the ACC. The Tigers dropped to 15-8 overall, 6-5 in league play.

USC-Charlotte Softball Postponed One Week

With snow falling in Charlotte today and the forecast of a rare ice event in play, the coaches at South Carolina and Charlotte have agreed to postpone Wednesday’s game a week. First pitch between the 49ers and Gamecocks is now set for 4 p.m. on Wed., Feb. 19 at D.L. Phillips Complex.
