Clemson Gets Ready For Italy

The Clemson men’s basketball team will embark on a tour of Italy on Thursday, Aug. 8 that will last through Sunday, Aug. 18. The Tigers will stay in four different cities and play four games against various clubs and all-star teams from Italy. Clemson’s 10-day tour will be coordinated by Basketball Travelers, Inc.

Jerry West Visits Panthers Camp

On Monday NBA legend Jerry West visited training camp at Wofford College as a guest of Panthers owner Jerry Richardson. He joked that while Cam Newton may not have what it takes to play power forward in the NBA, the Panthers quarterback certainly has the makeup to lead Carolina to a Super Bowl title.

DJ Collapses Late, Snedeker Wins In Canada

Irmo native Dustin Johnson triple bogeyed the 71st hole at the Canadian Open allowing Brandt Snedeker to cruise to a 3-shot victory. Johnson was tied for the lead on #17 before he hit his tee shot out of bounds and took two shots to get out of a fairway bunker.
