COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina assistant baseball coach Sammy Esposito and strength and conditioning coach Billy Anderson will serve one-game suspensions following their ejections from the May 12 game against Georgia.

South Carolina women’s basketball head coach Dawn Staley announced today the signing of 5-foot-7 guard Olivia Gaines (Chester, S.C./Chester) to a National Letter of Intent to attend the University and play for the Gamecocks. Gaines will have two seasons of eligibility beginning with the 2013-14 season.
Clemson will open play in the NCAA Regional Golf Tournament at Tempe, AZ on Thursday morning at 10:30 AM Eastern time, 7:30 AM in Tempe. The Tigers will be paired with #6 seed Vanderbilt and #4 seed Texas A&M. The Tigers are seeded fifth in the 14-team tournament. The top five schools will advance to the NCAA Championship Tournament near Atlanta, GA May 28-June 2.
Clemson men’s basketball announced Wednesday that 2013 center prospect Sidy Djitte (pronounced SIH-dee zhih-TAY) signed a National Letter-of-Intent to play for the Tigers. The 6-foot-10 Djitte is the first prospect ever from the country of Senegal to sign with Clemson, and is the fourth member of Head Coach Brad Brownell’s 2013 signing class. Djitte played this past season at Northwood Temple Academy in Fayetteville, NC.
The 20th-ranked South Carolina men’s golf team will open play in the NCAA Columbus Regional on Thursday in Columbus, Ohio, with a berth to the NCAA Championship on the line.
