Gamecocks Take Series With 7-1 Win Over UGA

South Carolina sophomore left-hander Jordan Montgomery carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning and 12th ranked South Carolina scored in five of eight innings at the plate on the way to a 7-1 win over Georgia on Senior Day at Carolina Stadium in front of a sellout crowd of 8,242 fans. South Carolina wins the series and improves to 36-14 and 15-10 in the SEC with LSU dropping to 18-30 and 5-18 in league play.

Gamecocks Beat Dawgs 7-2 In Series Opener

South Carolina senior left-hander Nolan Belcher limited Georgia to just two runs on five hits in 7.1 innings and seven different Gamecocks drove in at least one run as 12th ranked South Carolina upended Georgia 7-2 on Friday evening at Carolina Stadium in game one of a three-game SEC series.

Gossett Leads Clemson To 7-1 Win Over GSU

Sophomore righthander Daniel Gossett struck out a season-high 12 batters to lead #15 Clemson to a 7-1 victory over Georgia Southern at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Friday night. The Tigers, who took a 1-0 lead in the series, improved to 35-15 on the season. The Eagles dropped to 25-24 in 2013.

Lexington vs. Blythewood Title Series Set

Blythewood and Lexington will battle it out for the class AAAA high school baseball state championship. Friday night Blythewood beat Wade Hampton 6-0 to win the upper state championship. Lexington walked off with a 2-1 win at home over S. Aiken in the lower state championship.

Wildcats Beat Gamecocks For 4-Star QB

Four-star quarterback prospect Drew Barker has committed to play his college football at the University of Kentucky. The Conner High School (Hebron, Kentucky) standout chose the Wildcats over South Carolina Friday. Barker is the only quarterback USC quarterbacks coach G.A. Mangus has offered for the 2014 class.
