Clemson Sweeps Furman With 12-2 Win

Jon McGibbon went 4-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs to lead #15 Clemson to a 12-2 win over Furman in the second game of a doubleheader in front of 3,410 fans at Fluor Field on Wednesday night. The Tigers, who swept the doubleheader by a combined score of 26-4, improved to 34-15 overall. The Paladins dropped to 26-22 in 2013. It was Clemson’s ninth win in a row in the series between the two schools.

Clemson Cruises By Furman 14-2

The #15 Clemson Tigers scored a season-high 14 runs in their 14-2 victory over Furman in the first game of a doubleheader at Fluor Field on Wednesday afternoon. The Tigers improved to 33-15, while the Paladins fell to 26-21.

USC Softball Delayed At SEC Tourney

Rain around the University of Kentucky has pushed back the start of Wednesday’s first-round action of the 2013 Southeastern Conference Tournament. South Carolina was set to take on the host Wildcats in the day’s second game at 6 p.m., but rain has pushed back the tourney opener to a 7:30 p.m. start time.

Tyler Webb Approaching School Record

Senior left-hander Tyler Webb continues to excel out of the bullpen with two more saves in the LSU series to extend his season total to 14. He is up to 99 career appearances; three short of the school record 102 set by Matt Price (2009-10-11-12).

USC Baseball Back In Action Against Wofford

South Carolina (33-14) is back in action at Carolina Stadium on Wednesday night hosting Wofford (20-30). First pitch is 7 p.m. ET. The game will be televised live on Fox Sports Carolinas and Fox Sports South and can be heard on the Gamecock Radio Network from IMG College including flagship station, 107.5 FM, “The Game.”
