Clemson-Furman Rained Out Again

The Clemson vs. Furman baseball game scheduled for Tuesday night was rained out. The game was originally scheduled for April 17, but that game was rained out as well. The two teams will play the regularly-scheduled game against Furman at Fluor Field in Greenville, SC on Wednesday at 7:00 PM. Tuesday’s game will be made up as part of a doubleheader at Fluor Field on Wednesday. Therefore, the makeup game will start at 2:30 PM at Fluor Field.

Clemson Takes Maryland Series With 9-5 Win

Matthew Crownover tossed 6.0 scoreless innings and five different Tigers tallied multiple hits to lead #15 Clemson to a 9-5 win over Maryland in the second game of a doubleheader at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Monday night. The Tigers, who won both games of the doubleheader to win the series 2-1, improved to 32-15 overall and 17-10 in the ACC. The Terrapins fell to 28-23 overall and 9-18 in ACC play.

Clemson Golf To Arizona NCAA Regional

Clemson was one of 14 teams selected to play in the NCAA Men’s Golf Regional Tournament at the Karsten Golf Course in Tempe, AZ on Monday night. Larry Penley’s Tigers are the number-five seed in the field. The top five teams after three days of competition May 16-18, will advance to the NCAA Championship Tournament at the Capital City Club’s Crabapple Course in Alpharetta, GA May 28-June 2.

Lexington 1 Win Away From Championship Series

Josh Reagan went the distance scattering seven hits and Nick Ciuffo drove in two runs with two hits that helped top-ranked Lexington to a 4-1 win over 10th-ranked South Aiken in the second round of the AAAA Lower State high school baseball playoffs at Wildcats Field on Monday.

Clemson Wins First Maryland Monday Game 3-2

The #15 Clemson Tigers scored two runs in the sixth inning to take the lead and held on for a 3-2 win over Maryland in the first game of a doubleheader at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Monday afternoon. The Tigers, who evened the series 1-1, improved to 31-15 overall and 16-10 in the ACC. The Terrapins fell to 28-22 overall and 9-17 in ACC play.

Gamecock Baseball Ranked As High As #12

South Carolina is now 33-14 and 13-10 in the SEC after a pair of losses vs. top ranked Vanderbilt this past weekend. The Gamecocks are 33-14 on the year with a 13-10 record in the SEC. South Carolina is in second place in the SEC Eastern Division and fourth place overall in the conference standings.
