Clemson vs. Maryland Rained Out

Due to inclement weather, Sunday’s baseball game between Clemson and Maryland was postponed. The two teams are slated to conclude the three-game series on Monday with two games. The first game is scheduled for 1:30 PM and the second game is scheduled for 7:00 PM on ESPNU.

Gamecocks Drop Series To #1 Vanderbilt, Sunday Game At Noon

Top ranked Vanderbilt raced out to a five-run lead and despite a pair of runs from ninth ranked South Carolina in the bottom of the seventh inning, the Gamecocks were defeated 5-2 on Saturday afternoon in game two off a three-game SEC baseball series at Carolina Stadium. The final game of the series has been moved to Noon due to the weather forecast in Columbia on Sunday.

Maryland Defeats Clemson 7-2

Senior lefthander Jimmy Reed struck out 11 and allowed only two runs on four hits in 8.0 innings pitched to lead Maryland to a 7-2 win over #14 Clemson at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Clemson and Maryland will play game-two of the three-game series on Sunday at 1:00 PM.

Weather Forces Softball Doubleheader

With forecasts predicting rain throughout the day on Sunday, South Carolina and Florida, with approval from the Southeastern Conference, have agreed to play a doubleheader on Saturday, with first pitch set for 2 p.m. EDT at Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field.
